What is MYACT, you ask? Mindful Yoga-Based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy was designed by Timothy Gordon, MSW, Jessica Borushok, PhD and Steve Ferrell, E-RYT. It's an 8-week program designed to teach you the skills and principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through the moving meditation practice of yoga.

MYACT teaches life enhancing skills through a combination of theoretical learning, group discussions and of course, yoga poses. The MYACT program is for anyone looking to cope more effectively with human suffering, such as depression, anxiety, low self confidence, addiction, burn-out, body image dissatisfaction, stress and more. Through MYACT, you can learn powerful concepts and tools to help you navigate these painful experiences more effectively all while building a rich and meaningful life.
Our 8-week MYACT program starts Wednesday, January 22nd from 6:30pm to 7:45pm (see full list of dates below). Sessions will be held at the North Gloucester Public Llibrary, Room A. You must register in advance. Don't miss the early bird rate of $600 for all 8 sessions and learning materials (regular rate of $750 after December 1st, 2024). Absolutely all levels of practice are welcome: All poses can be modified and adapted for different physical abilities. The group size is limited to assure a quality experience for all participants.
Please note that group therapy is covered by most extended benefits providers. Contact your provider to confirm that you can be reimbursed for group therapy provided by a Registered Psychotherapist.

For sanitary reasons, please bring your own yoga mat and any other props you require for a comfortable practice (yoga blocks, blanket, meditation pillow, etc.). If you do not have access to these materials, please reach out before class and we will make arrangements for you to have what you need.
